Blogging and me ?

By sloondabloon

Finally .. I have a blog …

If you are thinking that I was desperate for one, you are wrong :)

Many people have asked me why I don’t have a blog .. and I have always laughed it away..

So why didn’t I have a blog all this while ??

Hmmm …. A blog is an online diary …. Something that you share with the world…. And I am not comfortable with that… I’m quite a private person ..

Though I have too many thoughts running through my mind.. I find it difficult to pen them down … I guess my thoughts are too fast for my mind or maybe… I just don’t have the patience…

Blogging is always an option … It is not a must .. & that made the blogger in me even lazier..

Another reason is that .. I tend to be quite harsh at times … Topics that pass through my mind may be controversial .. This may offend someone .. and that is just not my intention … These are just mere thoughts that pass through my little head at some point of time ..

So , why do I have a blog now ?

Life is a journey … You see a lot , hear a lot, find a lot , lose a lot , gain a lot ……….

I noticed recently that a lot of thoughts pass through my mind … I ponder over many topics .. but most of these just pass away .. I forget them soon …

Many thoughts are asleep within me .. Many, if I could share might help someone someday in some way … I want to be of some benefit to someone even after my time is over…

I am a quiet person when I am emotional, and when it comes to the real thoughts that are within me I find writing much easier than talking (that is if I have the patience to) … So I decided to have a blog of my own.

As I explore this journey of life, I sincerely hope that I would not happen to jot down something here that is of offence to anyone .. In case it happens, I request you to disregard these as thoughts of a feeble mind ;-)

You got something wrong there girl. Web log aka Blog is not an online diary. It is just a log of events. Why has it become such a hit. Because unlike traditional sites, it was impossible changing and managing a personal website without it being cumbersome . It was never as easy as this. Blogs, like you mentioned mostly are personal blogs. But it needn’t be personal things or thoughts. The most popular blogs right now are other blogs. Commercial blogs, review blogs, … everything exists today. Boeing to Members of Bands updating band news are just the few other ones existing. (Big corporations are also using blogs to broadcast daily updates on decisions so that employees get to know them soon rather than taking the conventional time-taking approach.)

Jaz, its also an online diary, Blog as to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog (wikipedia) is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media.

Well people .. I know that Blogs are used for different purposes…

But right now .. Other than for personal reasons, I wudn’t need a blog .. And people who know me have asked me why I do not have a “personal blog” ..

What I was aiming at in the above post was not what a blog is, or what a blog is used for, etc etc … That is a totally different matter.

I have just tried to explain why I wasn’t very comfortable with the idea and why I have decided on it now.

I hope you all have got that clear now .. Cheers !!!
